Reader Profile
Hey, my names Ria and I am in year 9. I am just about to
finish key stage 3 and start my 2 years of GCSE. It’s a bit of a stressful time
for me as I know I’m not the best with making decisions so picking my GCSE
topics will be hard. I love my art and drama classes and also enjoy science. K
pop is my favourite type of music and I enjoy the odd new
release from capital radio. Outside of school I go swimming and do lots of
reading. My favourite genre for books is fantasy romance. I love to picture the
characters in my head and then try to draw what I think they would look like;
because of this I have joined my school’s anime club and I’m looking to join
more in the future. I am not much of a TV person but I’ll join my family when
they all watch Xfactor on a Saturday night.
My typical day consists of me waking up 20 minutes before
school starts, throwing on my school uniform,which is usually scattered across
the floor, then legging it to school to make it to form just in time. I’m
really unorganised and I’m in dire need of an after school timetable. The
highlight of my day would probably be seeing my friends as they are a good
laugh and fun to hand out with. When I come home my mum sits me down to do maths
revision, but I hate maths! I really wish there was a way to make maths easier.
She wants me to become an accountant when I am older like her and my dad, but I
would prefer a different choice of career. I am not sure which career yet, but
definitely nothing to do with maths. Generally, I’m loving school at the moment;
going into year nine has definitely given me the independence I need for later
on in my school life.
